Barry Manilow has revealed that he is half Irish and expressed his regret that his family didn’t let him have a relationship with his Irish father. The star, who was born in New York, was raised by his Jewish mother and grandparents.

Bono is set to become the richest rock star in the world this afternoon when Facebook finally starts trading on the New York stock market. The star’s investment company, Elevation Partners, bought 2.3% of Facebook in November 2009 for $90m.
