Tagore singing is a style developed by Rabindranath Tagore (7th May 1861 -7th August 1941) who was born in Calcutta, India.

He produced outstanding music and literature which was rich in spiritual sensitivity. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913 – he was the first non-European to win it.

British and Irish songs influenced Tagore, and he adapted the melody Maid of the Valley, the air to Go Where Glory Waits Thee, for his work The Fatal Hunt (Kalmrigaya).

This version of Go where Glory waits thee was recorded in Kolkata in 2009 by Tagore singers, Debashish Raychaudhiri and Rohini Raychaudhuri, and accompanied by Hamish Hossain.
