I don’t think I have an ideal woman, or at least I have never thought about it too much. I don’t have a girlfriend at the moment but I guess you never know what’s around the corner for you. Nobody has taken pity on me just yet ha ha. My poor mom is getting worried at this stage, just kidding!
Do you have any hobbies and how do you like to relax away from work?
Aside from music, sport is a huge interest for me. Going to football and rugby games when I can is a regular occurrence. I love getting out for a round of golf as often as possible. Ireland has some of the best golf courses in the world so I usually get out with two friends of mine called Neil Byrne and Colm Keegan…anyone heard of them?!
I live in the countryside so getting out for a walk with my dog is great for both body and mind.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
I was told years ago by my Dad, success is made up of 20% talent and 80% hard work. I have stood by that motto ever since.
What if any are your biggest regrets?
I have no regrets in my life so far and fingers crossed I won’t have too many in the future. I have always taken the advice of my close friends and family. I think if you are very secure in who you are and hold true to your principles you won’t go too far wrong.
What are your ambitions over the next five years?
I have lots of ambitions. Having just recently moved on from Celtic Thunder into a solo career I am very excited for what’s coming up in the near future for me. I can’t give away too much just yet but hopefully it won’t be too long before you see an Emmet Cahill album out there. I am delighted with what’s being proposed so far, so all I can say to my wonderful fans is to watch this space.
