Fiddler’s Green is often associated with the Dubliners’ banjo player Barney McKenna. Here is performing it with an amusing introduction from Ronnie Drew.

Fiddler’s Green performed by The Irish Rovers.

Fiddler’s Green was written by John Conolly. This video shows John singing the song in Faldingworth in England.

Conolly’s song is sometimes said to have been influenced by an older song call Wrap me up in My Old Tarpaulin Jacket, but as this recording shows, the two songs are totally different.
